3D Designer

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented 3D Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating 3D assets using Cinema 4D or similar tools. These assets will be used to create product images for our website, integrated with our online design studio.. The candidate will also utilize Esko Studio, an Adobe Illustrator plugin, to create highly detailed renderings of design veriations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D models from product engineering drawings using Adobe Substance, Autodesk 3ds Max, MAXON Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar software.
• Ensure compatibility with WebGL specifications and name surfaces/textures accurately for easy identification.
• Export files in Babylon or x3dom and html formats for use in the printQ system.
• Follow standard operating procedures to integrate 3D models into applications, including adding specific JavaScript and jQuery scripts.
• Create realistic mockups of products in use, combining real and virtual photography.
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure the accuracy and visual appeal of product representations.
• Utilize Esko Studio within Adobe Illustrator for specific design purposes.
• Maintain an organized library of 3D assets and mockups.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in 3D design and product visualization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, 3D Modeling, or a related field.
• Proven experience in 3D modeling and rendering, preferably in packaging or product design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Substance, Autodesk 3ds Max, MAXON Cinema 4D, Blender, and other relevant 3D design software.
• Experience with Esko Studio and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong portfolio showcasing 3D design and realistic product mockups.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in combining real and virtual photography for product mockups.
• Knowledge of WebGL specifications and experience with JavaScript and jQuery for 3D model integration.
• Familiarity with the packaging industry and its specific requirements.
