We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Business Controller to join our Games Finance team. In this role, you’ll be a key financial partner to the business providing analysis, insights, and strategic advice that support smart, data-backed decisions. You’ll participate in forecasting and budgeting, perform closing and reporting, and ensure that Rovio’s financial story is delivered clearly and accurately to SEGA, our leadership team and other internal stakeholders.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the Games Finance team runs smoothly and effectively supports the business across three key areas: enabling game teams to make informed decisions, fulfilling our group reporting obligations, and keeping Rovio leadership aligned on financial performance.
We’d love for you to be interested in gaming: you don't have to have 3 stars on every level in Angry Birds Classic, have found all shrines in Zelda or love the Alan Wakes, but we definitely see it as an advantage.
This role is based at our Espoo office, where our team has found on-site collaboration to be the most effective. That said, we’re flexible, and occasional remote work is totally fine. Please note that relocation support is not provided for this role.
You will have impact and fun at work by doing- Handle business control activities for Rovio’s Games Business Units
- Participate in planning and forecasting of P&L and investment needs for the Games Business Units
- Execute monthly closing activities in collaboration with the finance team
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks, including audit processes
- Calculate and report revenue shares to third-party partners
- Provide financial support and advice to Game Studios and Functions, including business case modeling, analysis, and partner negotiations
- Support development initiatives across Games Business Units and Finance (e.g., game projects, user acquisition, product marketing, hosting)
- Contribute to internal reporting for key stakeholders, including Rovio teams, studios, and management
Experience and skills we are looking for- Solid experience in finance or controlling, preferably with a background as a Business Controller or Business Analyst
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken, and fluency in financial language
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles
- Experience working in business controlling or finance within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen with the ability to see the big picture and connect financial insights to strategic goals
- Comfortable working under pressure while also enjoying and executing regular day-to-day tasks
- Strong problem-solving and financial modeling skills
- Proactive and self-driven, with a willingness to listen, learn, and collaborate
- At least basic skills in Power BI or other data visualization tools. Proficiency in Excel is expected.
- Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills
It would be nice if you also have the following skills- Fluency in Finnish is considered a plus, as some local tasks require communication and documentation in the Finnish language
