Summary

The Cloud Operations Engineer will support cloud infrastructure health and service monitoring 24x7, responding to alerts from monitoring systems and resolving issues. Daily responsibilities include operational support across AWS, Azure, and GCP, troubleshooting with developers and architects, creating secure operations processes for client accounts, Linux/Unix system and network administration, and incident management using tools like PagerDuty. The role also involves contributing to a knowledge base, on-call responsibilities, and maintaining documentation. Understanding the product's functionality and customer usage is crucial. This position requires 1+ years of L2/L3 support experience and 1-2 years in cloud operations/infrastructure management.

What You Will Do
  • You will be part of the team that supports cloud infrastructure health and service monitoring 24x7.Monitor and review the incoming alerts from automated monitoring systems or applications, and work on resolution.
  • Day-to-day operational support of product infrastructure on all three major public cloud services (AWS,Azure and GCP)
  • Interact with Developers/ Testers / Solutions Architects on/off-site to troubleshoot issues, provide workarounds by leveraging your troubleshooting skills
  • Create and manage processes for the secure operations for client accounts.
  • Linux systems  and network administrations.
  • Use incident management tools used in incident analysis and troubleshooting, like PagerDuty, OpsGenie, etc.
  • Identify, escalate, and communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to building a knowledge base centered on known incidents/defects, frequently asked questions, resolved issues, and applying lessons learned and previous resolutions to new incidents.
  • On-call responsibilities to respond to emergency situations and scheduled maintenance
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configuration. 
  • Understand how the product works and how it is used by the customers.
What You Will Bring To Forescout
 Qualifications:
  • 1+ year experience in a support role, providing L2 and L3 support.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management.
  • Familiar in Linux/Unix Operating system around shell/bash scripting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic Kubernetes pod issues.
  • Strong understanding of cloud applications, concepts, and the storage, compute, and networking components.
  • Readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shift model
  • Scripting in Shell,Python for automating BAU tasks.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving deadlines, meeting SLAs, and producing results.
  • Ability to be a good listener, and to understand issues. Ability to provide innovative workarounds or design a solution to fix problems. 
Good to Have Skills:               
  • Knowledge of Grafana/ Prometheus/DataDog dashboards.
  • Comfortable with basic DevOps concepts like CI/CD, and Infra-automation.
  • DevOps mindset to automate and ready to integrate daily tasks with integration of open source tools.
