Broadcom China COSAP/Cloud/SP FAE - Shanghai

Job description/Responsibilities

The FAE (Field Application Engineer) is both technical solution and support role, responsible for proposing Broadcom CSG (core switch group) and network-related product lines’ solution, driving and managing qualifications, solution verifications, architecture discussions, JDM projects, white box development and deployment, developing relationship with customer technical leads and contacts, fulfill customer requirements with Broadcom specific features/advantages, managing and coordinating the works from design-in to design-win, well-cooperating with internal various team resources to win project, and supporting to create strategic plan, and so on.

Scope of work

1. Technical support for both pre-sales and post-sales activities at Cloud/SP customers

- Regularly communicate with customer about Broadcom product update and new features

- Identify and drive COSAP/Cloud opportunities together with Sales and BU resource

- Propose Broadcom best solutions as per COSAP/Cloud new requirements and trend

- Support Switch/PHY SDK/EDK/NPL and interface bringing up, debug, tests and field issue shooting

2. Actively communicate with customer to understand customer applications, requirements and plans. Help Broadcom sales and product marketing team in product definitions, as well as applications and win new opportunities to grow Broadcom business.

3. Coordinate XPU vendor/OEM/ODM/BU technical resource for COSAP projects

4. Monitor and influence Cloud/SP related tests, verifications and standards with related BU resource

5. Support and manage Cloud projects and provide reports from technical and business perspective

6. Develop and maintain constructive relationship with Cloud customer’s technical leads and contacts

7. Collect Cloud market and competition information, and make related analysis, provide reports

8. Support sales and BU to make right objectives and strategies

Qualifications / Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in EE or CS.

2. 8+ years (equivalent) working experience in network communication and solution.

3. Good knowledge of Internet/Ethernet networks, Enterprise, Data Center, AI/ML or carrier networks.

4. Good knowledge of network Switch/Gateway/Router specification, solution and application.

5. Good knowledge of Broadcom Switch/PHY/DSP/Optical network-related products is preferred.

6. Knowledge in DC switch protocols such as RDMA, ROCE, L2, L3, TCP/IP, VxLAN, MPLS, OAM, 1588….

7. Knowledge in AI scale up, scale out, CCL and INCA related solutions is forced.

8. Knowledge in Ethernet switch SDK, SAI and SONIC is additional is preferred.

9. Successful record and experience of data communication system develop, bring up and debug.

10. Willing to meet, talk and stay with customers for either business or technical discussion.

11. Strong verbal communication skill and good written in English and Mandarin.

12. Good team work spirit, able to work in a cross team/multi-team environment.

13. Knowledge of Linux kernel, BSP, embedded system debug is addition.
