The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join ION as a Crisis Manager within a specialist team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the crisis management program across the ION Markets group.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in developing and managing crisis management frameworks, with a strong background in financial services. Experience in managing crises across multiple disciplines and a solid technical understanding are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for the Business to manage crisis incidents within ION Markets.  
    • Support the development and implement strategies to protect the company from potential threats, including monitoring, reporting, and scenario planning.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain the Crisis Management Framework and support the implementation of the framework.
    • Oversee impact monitoring and analysis to manage incidents effectively.
    • Produce regular crisis risk reports offering data-driven insights to Executive Leadership Team.
    • Be on-call to handle crises as they occur, ensuring rapid and effective response.
    • Prepare action plans, post-incident reviews, and conduct crisis management exercises.
    • Work closely with the Operational Resilience function to support broader resilience efforts.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across IT, BCP, communication, and vendor management to develop escalation frameworks.
    • Educate the Executive Leadership Team on crisis management principles and ensure awareness of crisis plans.
    • Oversee the delivery of complex crisis management plan reviews and framework enhancements.
    • Utilise crisis management software to streamline exercising and crisis response.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • Crisis Management Expertise:
    • At least 3 years of experience in a global crisis management role, including cyber and technical service incidents.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing risk management processes and crisis management exercises.
    • Proven experience in all aspects of incident and crisis management, ideally in large, complex multinational organizations.
    • Strong strategic thinker capable of seeing both the bigger picture and detailed nuances.

    • Technical Proficiency:
    • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO22301, FCA/PRA/BoE/DORA).
    • Understanding of Business Continuity Management technology tools, specifically Fusion.
