Job Description

We are seeking a senior-level, client-facing Data Modeler with Analytics experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling and business intelligence / reporting / analytics tools, with strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, and / or Power BI. The successful candidate will work directly with major financial institutions and play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven decision-making infrastructure across clients.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling: Design, implement, and maintain data models in Amazon Redshift to support various technical and business needs.
Reporting & Analytics: Create reports, visualizations, dashboards and supporting data assets using Amazon QuickSight and Power BI.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data and visualization requirements and deliver appropriate designs and solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models and visualizations.
Best Practices: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data modeling and analytics technologies and apply them to the business and technical domain.
Consulting Mindset: Work independently, become a trusted consultant to the client and identify potential opportunities for engagement expansion

Qualifications

BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data modeling
At last 5 years worth of experience with Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, and/or Power BI.
Experiene working in the financial industry is a huge plus
Experience working in a consulting environment is highly desired
Proficiency in SQL and database design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with other reporting tools and data platforms.
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
Experience in cloud data infrastructure and services.

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. However, the base salary range may vary depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.

Salary range disclosure as required by S9427A when hiring in New York.
