Data Analyst

Data Analysts are responsible for assisting the team in understanding player behaviour and identifying areas for enhancement within a title. Collaborating closely with designers and other departments to facilitate Coatsink’s delivery of the high-quality titles that players have come to expect from us.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and measuring metrics within a title and utilising that information to develop plans for improving the player experience and retention.

You will collaborate closely with the development and production team to formulate data-driven design decisions and provide that information to external partners.

Responsibilities & Tasks (not an exhaustive list)

• Designing and maintaining SQL databases.
• Working with development team and external partners to implement and refine in-game analytic events.
• Concepting and testing data-driven hypotheses with the goal to better understand player behaviour.
• Monitoring player retention and gameplay trends.
• Providing insights on in-house developer tooling.
• Compiling and presenting data reports.
• Working closely with the project design lead.

Person Specification

Required Experience

• Graduate level or equivalent qualifications.
• 2+ years of experience in data analyst role or equivalent.
• Proficient SQL knowledge.
• Proficient in JavaScript and C#.
• Understanding of analytics and how to implement these into a game project.
• Strong understanding of mathematics.
• Due to the nature of data handling, all applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants must pass an enhanced independent security check.

Preferred/Desired Experience

• Experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio.
• Experience with JIRA for managing tasks.
• 1+ shipped title.
