Junior Developer

We are looking to hire a number of excellent Junior Developers to form a new functional team that will prioritise, diagnose and respond to issues/tickets raised by Level 1 Tech Support. This would be an ideal role for a recent graduate who is looking for a role in a games development company.

Location: Hybrid/remote but you must be based in either the UK or Poland.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prioritise, investigate, diagnose & respond to issues escalated by level 1 support staff
• Respond to tickets within SLA guidelines
• Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process including actions taken through to the final resolution
• Respond in timely manner to requests and issues
• Create & maintain documentation where necessary to reduce the number of tickets escalated by level 1 support staff
• Where necessary, escalate issues to the relevant tech teams for resolution
• Work with experts across our platform engineering teams within Push Gaming to build knowledge & solve problems
• Work with experts across our game development teams within Push Gaming to build knowledge & solve problems

What you’ll bring to the role:

We have roles available in both our Game Development team, and our Platform Engineering team. When you apply for the position, we will ask you which your preference would be.

The specific skills/experience we’re looking for if you join our Game Development team:

• Object-oriented JavaScript / TypeScript
• Understanding of object-oriented programmin
• Strong Math & Physics

The specific skills/experience we’re looking for if you join our Platform Engineering team: 

• 2-3+ years of experience with Java languages
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, GitHub Actions and Docker)

In addition to the above, we think you should have the following: 

• A recent degree in an IT, Computing, Game Development (or similar) field.
• Ability to investigate & diagnose complex issues
• Problem-solving and root-cause identification skills
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Knowledge of the online gambling industry would be highly beneficial
• Previous experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems
• Customer service mentality
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detai
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities
