Responsibilities

As the Lead Game Designer, you will:

• Build a Team: Help recruit, mentor, and lead a team of creative and technical experts within the Game Design team.
• Lead Game Design: Define and communicate the game design needs, ensuring consistency and quality across the project.
• Liaise with Art, World, and Tech Teams: Work closely with these departments to ensure a cohesive visual language and optimal performance.
• Monitor Quality: Establish and maintain production pipelines, guiding the team towards excellence.
• Enable Progress: Collaborate with production teams to define workflows, tools, and best practices, while effectively managing risks and issues.

Attributes

This role demands a combination of deep Game Design expertise and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience: Several years in game design with a history of shipping titles as a Lead or Senior Game Designer.
• Skills: Expertise in developing large-scale, open-world, or sandbox games, particularly in a multiplayer setting using Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge: A strong grasp of modern game design trends, tools, and methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent proficiency in English, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AAA or console game development.
• A strong grasp of multiple domains (e.g., Level Design, UI/UX).
• Previous experience in leading teams, recruiting, and growing new projects.
• Familiarity with live-ops, games-as-a-service, and user-generated content.
