As a Junior Modelling Analyst at Nielsen, you'll execute independent projects involving data preparation, processing, and validation to ensure consistency and accuracy. You'll run econometric models on Nielsen platforms, validating Marketing Mix Model results from both statistical and business perspectives. Collaboration with client consultants is key to defining project approaches and delivering on schedule. You'll oversee projects in various European countries, participate in internal meetings, explain model results, and advise on client recommendations. Your insights will directly impact top companies' marketing strategies and media business decisions. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in quantitative methods, and excellent communication and organizational abilities.

- MSc in relevant field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics)
- Experience with quantitative methods
- Fluent English, proficient in MS Office

- Media industry experience

ABOUT THIS JOB
Junior Modelling Analysts run models that help clients understand the impact of their marketing strategy. Your insights will drive decisions for top companies and have an impact on our media business. In this role you will be building your position as a modelling expert and trusted partner to client consultants.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Execute standard projects independently (Prepare data, Process data, Validate data ensuring consistency & data accuracy and deliver a ready client deck with data reviews to the consulting team), which includes running econometric models on Nielsen modelling platforms. Validate Marketing Mix Model results from both statistical and business perspective.
- Assist/Lead in project setup and cooperate closely with client consultants to define the best approach based on client needs and deliver up to schedule and as per requirements.
- Oversee and manage standard projects in various European countries.
- Participate in internal meetings providing project support to consulting teams, explain model results and try to advise on client recommendations for better decisions on marketing activities and investments.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- M.Sc. / M.A – Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Sciences.
- Background (either academic or professional) in Marketing research, Economics, Statistics.
- Experience (professional or academic) related to quantitative methods.
- Fluent English (writing and speaking).
- MS Office proficiency required. Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organization and time-management skills.
- Autonomous & Curious (willingness to learn and discover new areas).
- Nice to have experience in the media industry, market research, data and measurement.
- Ability (and/or experience) to manage projects.
- Programming skills and experience (R, Python, SAS).
