Uken Games seeks an experienced Product Manager II to contribute to the growth of its studio products. Responsibilities include owning and prioritizing features and A/B tests, leveraging SQL to analyze user data, validating design ideas, designing game features to improve KPIs (retention & monetization), collaborating across disciplines, consulting on game specifications, understanding target demographics and game economies, and monitoring key metrics. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of product management experience on live, preferably free-to-play mobile games, strong data analysis skills (SQL, spreadsheets), excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for games. Startup experience and agile environment comfort are desirable.

Uken Games is looking for an experienced Product Manager II to help grow the studio’s products.  You will join a team of highly analytical and creative Product Managers, Game Designers, and Data Analysts to help shape and execute the vision behind this game. Your work will have a direct impact on the players’ game experience. 

 

As a Ukenite, you'll be working on meaningful things like:

  • Owning and prioritizing features and AB Tests in alignment with OKRs and the product roadmap
  • Leveraging expertise in SQL to explore billions of rows of user data, retrieve and interpret the data to better understand the user experience and areas of opportunities, turning learnings into actionable outcomes
  • Leveraging user data and feedback to validate and prioritize design ideas through the entire lifecycle of a feature (i.e. ideation, design, launch, as a live feature, and further iteration)
  • Designing big (and small) game features, which increase the game’s KPIs (namely retention & monetization) but also delight our users
  • Collaborating across multiple disciplines in the design and execution of game systems and mechanics to grow the game and improve the experience of users in a data driven environment
  • Collaborating with other PMs and designers across the company to foster a healthy conversation around great product design
  • Consulting on game specifications and driving the use of innovative game technology
  • Developing a deep understanding of the target demographic and awareness of comparable games
  • Understanding game economies and balance sheets that are used to calibrate the game
  • Regularly monitor daily key metrics across the game and report on observations


 Your background should include:

  • 3+ years of experience as a product management on a live product, preferably a free to play mobile game
  • Experience creating product specifications, and design documents
  • Strong data analysis skills using spreadsheets and querying SQL databases
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational and time management skills
  • Previous startup experience is desirable, comfort in an agile environment
  • A passion for games, up to date on tech and trends in the games industry
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
