The Project/Delivery Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the enterprise integration platform using IBM ACE. This includes managing a software engineering team, ensuring the development of robust and scalable applications, and collaborating with customers and stakeholders. The role requires accountability for team performance and delivering solutions aligned with organizational goals. The manager must also ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, standards, and SLAs.
Must have:
  • 15+ years of software development experience in IBM ACE projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of software design and enterprise architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of messaging standards like SOAP, RESTful services, XML, HTTP.
  • Strong knowledge of ESQL language, message flows, and message sets.
Good to have:
  • Experience with building integrations to SaaS apps.
  • Understanding of compliance and security standards.
  • Experience with implementing AI solutions in integration solutions.

About the Role: Wolters Kluwer is looking for a Delivery / Project manager who will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of enterprise integration platform using IBM ACE. In addition, the manager will be responsible for managing a team in software engineering, ensuring the development of robust and scalable enterprise-level applications and collaborating closely with our customers, technical project managers, and other key stakeholder teams. This role involves accountability for the team's performance and delivering software solutions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver on system design and development for the needed business requirements supporting various business units
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and standards and ensure solutions are being delivered are per standards of availability, scalability, and security point of view and that are done on time with highest quality
  • Work across the GBS organizations including teams responsible for requirements, solution architecture, quality assurance and production support
  • Have strong ability to trouble shoot problems and suggest solutions
  • Help ensure that standards and guidelines are created for all aspects of technology being used in the delivery, all delivery artifacts are reviewed and are according to the standards and guidelines and SLAs are being met for services
  • Manage the performance and development of a software engineering team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with other departments.
  • Mentor and coach team members for professional growth.
  • Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes with senior management.


Skills:

  • 15+ yrs of strong software development experience in the IT industry, specifically leading project initiatives in IBM ACE.
  • Advanced knowledge of software design & implementation and understanding of enterprise-level software architecture principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging such as SOAP, RESTful services, XML, HTTP. Must have integration experience with at least one DB (E.g. DB2, SQL, Oracle)
  • Strong knowledge of ESQL language, ESQL Functions, Message flows and Message sets and strong understanding of error handling, application performance, thread management etc.
  • Proven delivery in building integrations to SaaS apps like Salesforce, ServiceNow etc.
  • Proficiency in managing mid-sized teams of software engineers with capability to assess and improve team performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of compliance and security standards in software development.
  • Professional Development: Capability to mentor and develop senior professionals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effective in communicating with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Preferred - Implementing AI solutions in integration solutions.
