Post Trade Regulatory Reporting (PTRR) is the London Stock Exchange's regulatory reporting, matching and reconciliation solution provider. PTRR customers include investment banks, hedge funds, brokers and other financial services firms. Post Trade Regulatory Reporting provides business solutions in the areas of:
Regulatory reporting with MiFIR, EMIR, UKMIIR, G20 and other regimes
Provision of reference data (especially financial instruments data)
Analytics and Surveillance platforms that provides a suite of control frameworks
These services have seen year on year growth and are underpinned with a fully cloud hosted applications suite. To continue with these successes and increase market share we are looking to modernise and enhance these applications by delivering an enhanced new UI, API development alongside new scalable functionality to meet evolving market demands.
Role Summery:
The Platform Engineering team develops, maintains and enhances the core PTRR platform that backs multiple regulated Tier 1 applications and solutions. The platform is hosted fully in Azure and uses a combination of SQL Server and Snowflake to deliver the processing of large datasets.
The role is for an experienced Java Engineer who can help deliver new functionality. This opening requires a candidate who takes great pride in delivering excellence with excellent logical and technical skills and a can-do attitude combined with a helpful mentality, and a wish to play a critical role in forming and tacking an established platform on its next technology journey.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Key Responsibilities
Solid knowledge and expertise in software development
Collaborate on key design decisions for the platform build out to meet business’ goals.
Own the delivery of business requirements through to test and production release.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
Java developer from a strong technical background with experience of delivering enterprise applications.
SQL Server Database design and development, including stored procedures and functions.
Backend architectures understanding including integration patterns
Deployment of web applications and experience with continuous integration tools e.g GitLab and familiar with build and dependency management systems e.g. Maven
Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
Good awareness of the design, development and SDLC considerations required for development of Financial Services market infrastructure applications
Builds strong relationships with their team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team
Takes interest to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and projects.
Collaborate closely with QA teams
Providing L3 support for critical production issue.
Desirable skills and experience:
Experience with Cloud Native technologies on at least one of the major cloud services providers (Azure or AWS)
