Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III, Full Stack for its Corp Eng team. Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, code review, contributing to documentation, debugging system issues, and working with cross-functional partners. The role requires full-stack development experience, API design, systems engineering, and experience with data structures and algorithms. The ideal candidate will have experience developing accessible technologies and integrating third-party systems. This position involves managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions that contribute to Google's global affairs initiatives.

Must have:

Full-stack development experience
API design & systems engineering
Data structures & algorithms expertise
Code review and documentation
Debugging and issue resolution

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS
Experience with accessible technologies
Cross-functional project experience
Third-party system integration
Legal domain technology experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience with full-stack development, API design, and systems engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
4 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
4 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies and with cross-functional, cross-team, or cross-geography projects.
Experience integrating third-party systems and driving cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution.
Experience in the Legal domain and technologies.

Responsibilities

Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Work with cross-functional partners to scope, plan, and execute development programs that consistently deliver user focused value to Global Affairs.
