Title: UX Designer
Maersk is achieving an unprecedented transformation in the growth of our businesses, rethinking the way we engage with customers and partners, and how the world’s trade flows across our global network. Our software and technology are center stage in creating value for our business and our customers. We are looking for a UX designer whose years of experience with design research, wireframing, prototyping, and final design will enable them to make a difference in our business.
We offer - This is what you get
By joining Maersk, you will embark on a great journey with career development in a global organisation. As a UX designer you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the complexity of technology supports the transport and logistics business.
You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues through regular engagement with key stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk.
You will work in the development unit of the Transported by Maersk Platform(TbM) where we develop the business-critical tools to support our internal users in their daily jobs. The products we develop balance rich datasets with integrations of systems to provide users the full overview of cargo and vessel capacity so that they in turn can provide our customers with the best experience. To continue our digital transformation, we need a UX Designer to join our existing team of 15 designers in TbM.
Key responsibilities
As a UX Designer, you work across the design cycle, by generating a detailed understanding of user needs, creating conceptual and detailed designs, and validating them.
Your daily work includes overlooking a domain within the TbM area consisting of both inflight applications and the possibility to drive the new concepts from inception to implementation.
Together with a cross-disciplinary team of Product Owners, UI Developers, and Software Engineers, you’ll work to create the necessary applications for optimizing the network and transporting the cargo. You will work on the relevant design tasks; research, wireframes, and validation, but also play a crucial part in challenging and refining the scope and functionality of the applications.
You will work closely with fellow UX designers split across 3 geographical locations to ensure consistency across the applications in the Service Delivery platform, and we want you to provide and solicit feedback on the designs.
In short, we are looking for someone who wants to:
Make conceptual ideas and refine them into a useful and valuable product experience.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and other partners to craft intuitive, cohesive, and delightful experiences from product conception to launch.
Develop site maps, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and production-ready specs.
Collaborate with the rest of the design community within Maersk to ensure a consistent and cohesive experience across Maersk products.
Provide and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise the bar of quality.
Promote Design Thinking and a user centric design approach.
Identify user research needs and conduct usability tests.
To do this job, we imagine you have the following qualifications:
MA/MSc in HCI, Product Design, or a related field with at least 1 year of experience with desktop experiences, product-, interaction-, and information design.
Familiarity with design software like Sketch, Axure, and Figma – we primarily use Figma.
A strong and clean visual design sense.
Experience working in an agile development process and/or Iterative UX environment – and an environment that is undergoing large change.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
Ability to work independently with stakeholders while liaising and reviewing with fellow designers
Proven ability to collaborate and to communicate ideas and design rationale – verbally and written.
Experience working with Enterprise UX is a plus.
Experience working with design systems is a plus.
