G5 Games seeks a 2D Character Artist to create characters, thematic skins, and poses for dialogue within a casual match-3 mobile game. Responsibilities involve crafting character designs, emotions, and animation cuts, collaborating with a team and outsourcing partners. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of gaming development experience, strong artistic skills (anatomy, costume design, emotion portrayal, understanding of color, light, perspective, and composition), and professional Photoshop skills. Proficiency in Russian (at least Upper-Intermediate) is required. The role offers fully remote work, flexible scheduling, and various employee benefits.

We are currently looking for a 2D Character Artist (remote) who will bring characters to life by carefully crafting their designs, poses, and emotions. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, refine your skills, and contribute to the visual identity of successful games. If you love creating atmospheric characters and want to be part of a close-knit community of professionals — we’d love to have you on our team!

What You Will Work On:

  • Create characters and everything related to them: the creation of thematic skins, emotions and poses for dialogues, cutting for animation.
  • Work in a team and collaborate with outsourcers.
  • Work in casual style.

What We Expect:

  • Gaming development experience (at least 3 years).

Extensive knowledge necessary to work within the specialty:

  • Knowledge of anatomy.
  • Familiarity with the history and design of costume.
  • Ability to draw emotions.

 Mastery of basic artistic disciplines and tools:

  • Understanding of the color and light rules.
  • Understanding of linear and aerial perspective.
  • Understanding of proportions.
  • Understanding of the composition rules.
  • General visual art skills: lighting, form, conveying the characteristics of materials, etc.
  • Professional Photoshop skills.
  • Russian language - at least Upper-Intermediate.

Would Be a Plus:

  • Basic 3D knowledge.
