Our clients are often well-known brands and many have broad international reach.We are currently looking for an Actuary Manager to join PwC and play a pivotal role in driving the growth and development of our high-performing team.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of actuaries, focus on mentoring and supporting the development of junior colleagues, helping them grow their skills in actuarial techniques and best practices.
Manage projects, including communicating with clients, preparing proposals, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Contribute to insurance risk management or regulatory engagements with a focus on insurance reserves.
Participate in IFRS 17 implementation projects, focusing on areas such as technical reserves, actuarial data, and systems.
Support teams in regulatory reviews and ensure compliance with current standards.
Actively engage in the development and enhancement of your team's technical expertise and create an inclusive, positive working environment.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to build actuarial knowledge within the team.
Work on actuarial model reviews and process optimization.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry, particularly in areas such as product pricing, setting technical insurance reserves, actuarial modeling, or related tasks.
Academic background in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, or Engineering.
Experience with technical reserves and actuarial modeling, or similar tasks is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to execute projects efficiently.
Fluency in English and Bulgarian is required.
A proactive attitude toward feedback, continuous improvement, and personal accountability.
Experience managing a diverse team and demonstrating leadership skills.
