CCP is looking for a Brand Director to lead EVE Online's brand and publishing efforts and maximize the outcome of every project along with mapping out and understanding future opportunities for EVE Online.

This role will require a deep passion for the EVE IP and the sci-fi genre along with a strong understanding of the gamers, gaming industry and competitor titles. The position is based in Reykjavík and it reports to the VP of Publishing.

If you are a creative and organized individual with a good understanding of numbers and analytics and have a passion for working on a sandbox MMO with unique challenges, complex dynamics and player driven ecosystem, we would love to see you apply.

Your tasks:

Strategic Brand Leadership:

  • Define and implement a high-level brand and marketing strategy that aligns with the overarching business goals of EVE Online.
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of global brand initiatives, ensuring a consistent and impactful presence across all markets and platforms.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of brand strategies, adapting approaches based on data-driven insights to optimize outcomes and ROI.

Market Insight and Innovation:

  • Oversee market research and consumer insight gathering to inform strategic decisions, identifying emerging trends and potential growth opportunities.
  • Use data analytics to predict market trends and adapt brand strategies dynamically.

Integrated Marketing Oversight:

  • Direct comprehensive marketing strategies that include digital, social media, traditional media, and direct marketing to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Ensure all marketing and communication strategies are innovative, data-driven, and yield measurable results in terms of brand growth and customer engagement.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost management to maximize return on investment.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a senior leader, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across marketing, product development, and other key departments.
  • Build and mentor a team of marketing and brand professionals, guiding them towards achieving excellence in their respective areas.

Agency and Partner Management:

  • Manage high-level relationships with external agencies and strategic partners, and lead collaborative projects that enhance brand value.
  • Evaluate and select partners that align with the company’s brand ethos and business objectives.

Executive Representation:

  • Represent the company’s branding interests in executive meetings and industry events, articulating the brand’s vision and strategies effectively to stakeholders and the public.
  • Act as a key spokesperson for brand-related inquiries, presenting a coherent and persuasive brand image.

Your Profile:

  • Strong track record in the games industry, having proven success in being a part of strong marketing/branding team/s.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present insights and recommendations persuasively, in a compelling, easy to understand manner.
  • Ability to set strategy and vision based on deep, insightful consumer understanding.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities under tight project deadlines.
  • Proven ability to influence diverse groups of people to achieve desired results.
  • Team player – Ability to work with multiple cross-functional groups, including business & technical teams.
  • High level of autonomy – a self-motivated and resourceful problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Huge passion for gaming and technology, and especially for playing sandbox MMOs.
