Summary

The City Head - Senior Manager - Offline Merchant QR is responsible for growing distribution and market share in their assigned area. Key responsibilities include extensive QR & soundbox deployment and sales, recruiting and managing a sales team (5-10 Area Sales Managers and 700-1000 indirect reports), coaching and mentoring team members, planning market strategies, communicating effectively with the team, monitoring quality parameters, conducting audits, ensuring consistent market presence, and building strong networks. The role requires significant travel within the assigned area. Candidates should have 8-12 years of experience in sales and distribution/business development, ideally from direct sales, B2C, telecom, FMCG, Fintech or device sales domains. An MBA from a Tier 1 college is preferred.
Must have:
  • 8-12 years sales & distribution experience
  • Team management experience
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • Extensive travel required

Good to have:

Preferred Domains : Candidates from Direct Sales, B2C, Telecom, FMGC, Fintech or Device sales domain will be preferred.
Experience Required : 8-12 years of relevant experience in sales and distribution/ business development. Should have handled team in the past.
Min Qualification –MBA - Preferred Tier 1 College  
Reporting Matrix : The role will report to the Regional Manager  and will have 5-10 on roll Area Sales Manager as direct reports also down the line approx 700 -1000 people reporting as per hierarchy 

Job Description :
 Grow Distribution and Market share in the assigned area of operations.
Visibility Accountability through Extensive QR & Sound box deployment and sale of the product .
Identify and Recruit the sales team to align and drive business in the market.
Skilled in coaching and mentoring, a quick learner who grasps and puts into application new learned ideas and concepts.
Plan the market size, span and geographies for ASM .
Should be able to devise the best methods for communication of plans/targets to the team so as to minimize the expectations vs delivery gap.
Monitor the Quality parameters as suggested by the management.
Validate and conduct the audits on the acquisitions and sales done by the team.
Ensure the team members are in the market where sales & usage are done regularly
Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area.
