*Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.00 CAD hourly (Commensurate with experience)POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Dailies Supervisor, the Overnight Dailies Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dailies operation at night while helping manage the dailies team. Responsibilities include scheduling operator call times on a nightly basis, setting nightly priorities, delegating tasks, stream-lining workflows, training new operators, measuring both individual and the team's morale, detecting inefficiencies in operation, reporting to the Dailies Supervisor of all findings, troubleshooting technical difficulties, calling Project Managers and Engineering when necessary, and general oversight of the department during the night shift. MAIN DUTIES:The Dailies Supervisor assigns operators to new shows, maintains quality dailies service by holding the team accountable to Company3 standards, and monitors all operations to achieve maximum efficiency in meeting deadlines. They are responsible for training operators to understand requests according to their experience, analyze complaints, facilitate investigation, and report the outcomes. They will also be responsible for the following:- Prearrange nightly call times, review deadlines, and gather all notes to set priorities per show.
- Oversee each operator's performance and provide training and coaching.
- Report any irregular behaviors of applications and equipment in detail.
- Revise workflows by observing the execution and report all findings to discuss improvements.
- Take part in running new releases of applications before mass deployment.
- Interview potential Dailies Operators and provide feedback.
- Communicate information from day shift and Management.
- Discuss interdepartmental issues within the team.
- Keep track of project needs and properly modify settings when needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:The ideal candidate will have prior recent experience working in express dailies / onset dailies and have proficient knowledge of current dailies operation. They must have the ability to set priorities, delegate and apply flexibility in execution to achieve the best outcome and have an in-depth understanding of software used in dailies operation. Additional desired skills include:- Advanced working knowledge of television and postproduction workflows
- Working knowledge of EXD / OSD, Avid, Color front
- Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Mac operating systems.
- Basic understanding of SQL databases.
