Summary

The Distribution Center Supervisor at Axon is responsible for all aspects of department operations, including planning, organizing, and monitoring receiving, storage, and shipping. The role involves managing staff, implementing improved processes, supporting warehousing strategies, developing team members, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring a safe work environment. The supervisor will also handle sensitive materials and collaborate with other departments as needed. This is a weekend shift position (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM) in Phoenix, Arizona, reporting to the Distribution Center Manager.

Your Impact
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of their departments operations to include, but not limited to: planning, organizing, and monitoring the receiving, storage, and shipping functions to ensure a smooth and consistent operation. The supervisor provides support to employees and, at the discretion of the DC manager, other departments as necessary.

What You’ll Do

Location: Onsite, Phoenix, Arizona
Reports to: Manager, Distribution Center
Direct Reports: 3 Full time and Contractor Employees
Shift: Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

  • Determine appropriate equipment and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing, or receiving.
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.
  • Support warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
  • Grow, support and develop team members to achieve their full potential
  • Document organizational or operational procedures.
  • Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure efficient production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Handling sensitive material

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in a lead or supervisor position strongly preferred.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.
  • Takes personal responsibility for own actions, keeping commitments, and asking for and offering help when needed.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-directed and motivated.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate department needs and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Must have exemplary performance in regards to attendance, accuracy, and productivity

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 56,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 84,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
