Job Description

This DevOps Engineer role involves migrating existing build & deploy toolchains (GitLab, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory) to a cloud-based solution. Responsibilities include performing functional/configuration changes to improve automation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing monitoring systems (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana), certificate renewals, and cleaning up redundant applications and data. The role requires strong experience with DevOps tools and automation in a large investment bank environment, along with a solid understanding of DevOps and Agile principles. The goal is to eventually decommission the legacy toolchain after the successful cloud migration.

Must have:

3+ years DevOps experience
Large investment bank experience
DevOps & Agile knowledge
CI/CD pipeline automation
Monitoring system management (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
Linux RHEL, Java/Groovy, Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes/Openshift, Ansible/Salt, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Postgresql, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, Maven, Gradle, NPM

Good to have:

IT Degree
HA proxy
Transporter
JFrog Artifactory
Jira, Confluence
Docker and Kubernetes experience

Project description

The tools and technologies to be supported include:
• Build & Deploy DevOps toolchains (GitLab, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory and more)
• Security scanning
• Collaboration Tools
• Software Governance
The goal of the project is to migrate them to a cloud build toolchain and finally demise.
In the meantime we will conduct maintenance, ensure optimal performance, security and reliability, as well as implement upgrades and enhancements.

Responsibilities

Perform functional/configuration changes to improve automation and reduce maintenance effort

Build and maintain a CI/CD pipeline automation

Management of monitoring systems (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)

Certificate renewals

Cleanups, removal of redundant applications, functions, and data

Skills

Must have

Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps technology tools and automation capabilities

Experience working in large investment bank

Knowledge of DevOps and Agile principles and best practices

Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
