Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
• Project Plans and Controls. Establish and maintain appropriate plans and controls, as defined by the project manager, to enable effective project planning and controls, aligned to Transformation/Programme and/or organisation standards
• Project Compliance and Reporting. Supports project manager establish project governance, aligned with transformation/programme governance arrangements. Organises key project meetings and provides secretariat support. Defines and maintains project reporting project requirements and cadence; ensures other related organisational tasks are carried out efficiently. Monitors project progress and compliance of the project with regards to organisational policies, transformation/programme, security, health and safety, equality and diversity, business continuity and business planning
• Project Schedule. Supports project manager with the development and maintenance of the project schedule for activities required to successfully complete project incl. dependencies, resource requirements and constraints
• Project Financial control. Monitors project spend and contributes to the compilation of budgets and the development of the business case
• Project Resources. Establishes and maintains project resource planning, providing information for effective decision making to the Project Manager. Procurement of supplies and services related to project support within delegated financial authority limits
• Stakeholder Engagement. Establishes and maintains the project stakeholder and communications logs. Establishes and develops professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and acts as lead point of contact for some external parties. Supports the project manager draft and seek agreement for related project communications
• Project Risks and Issues Management. Sets up and maintains project risk and issue logs through periodic risk reviews. Manages potential risk areas, working with risk owners and escalating as appropriate
• Guidance and Support. Provides advice and guidance to the project team on application of agreed project approach approach, tools, forms and templates appropriate for organisational context and project. Sets up and maintains project file management using robust version control
