Job Description

This internship supports the baby/kids licensed apparel business. Responsibilities include researching and responding to licensee requests, attending meetings and distributing notes, managing buy boards and Box folders (POS, on-order, pitches, franchise info), serving as a liaison for marketing approvals, maintaining and distributing licensee lists, working on PR/Social Media requests, collecting information for business analysis (trend research, retail visits), assisting with contract and amendment processes, preparing product presentations, and other duties as assigned. The intern will work with top licensees to create best-in-class fashion products, driving strategy to gain market share and maximize floor space to increase revenue.

This intern will support our dynamic and fast-paced baby/kids licensed apparel business.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 to January 2026.

What You Will Do

The Softlines licensing intern will work with top licensees to create best-in-class fashion products, driving strategy to gain market share and maximizing floor space to increase revenue. Responsibilities include:

  • Researches and responds to licensee requests
  • Attend meetings and distribute notes to the category team 
  • Maintain and update buy boards
  • Manage Box folders (including POS, on-order, pitches, and franchise info)
  • Serve as liaison for marketing approvals
  • Maintain and distribute licensee lists
  • Work with associates on PR/Social Media requests 
  • Collect information for business analysis including trend research, and retail shopping visits/updates.
  • Provide management support in the contract and amendment process when requested
  • Prepares product presentations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • A self-starter who has experience problem solving with creative solutions
  • A team player with the ability to embrace a fast-moving, action-oriented environment
  • Excellent computer literacy; experience using Keynote, Microsoft Office suite, etc.

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred.
  • Pursuing a degree in fashion, business, communications, or other related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information

  • This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 until January 2026.
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Be compliant with appearance guidelines.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $22.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
