Job Description

Soap Central, part of Absolute Sports, seeks a Fast Food Writer to cover viral food trends, recipes, and the fast-food industry. Responsibilities include writing well-researched, long-form (1500-2000 words) articles, acquiring content from various social media platforms, and identifying viral trends. The ideal candidate possesses excellent writing skills, knowledge of the leisure and lifestyle industry, and the ability to suggest unique ideas for pop culture coverage. This is a remote contract position requiring 1+ years of experience.

Must have:

Thorough knowledge of food and beverage industry
Excellent English writing skills (US)
Ability to write long-form content (1500-2000 words)
Content acquisition skills from social media
Knowledge of social media trends

Good to have:

Key Responsibilities

Must have thorough knowledge about the Leisure and Lifestyle industry at large including daily food-related trends, viral recipes, the fast food and beverages industry etc.
Knowledge of social media trends and spotting viral hashtags/threads, upcoming talents etc is an added bonus.
Should be active in suggesting unique ideas to boost Pop culture coverage on the whole.

Requirements

Excellent command of the English language (US) is a must.
Writing well-researched, factual long-form content (1500-2000 words minimum)
Should have a knack for sentence composition, grammar, and syntax.
Excellent content acquisition skills from viral platforms such as YouTube, Reddit,
Twitter, Instagram, and more.
Tracking Reels, viral Instagram hacks, TikTok challenges etc.
