Job Summary
The Functional and Automation QA Engineer in Banking at Synechron is designed to drive quality assurance initiatives within our Wealth Management and Investment Banking projects. This role focuses on leveraging both functional and automation testing skills to ensure robust and efficient software delivery. The QA professional will contribute to Synechron’s business objectives by enhancing the reliability and performance of digital solutions, thereby improving client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Software Requirements

  • Required:

    • Proficiency in UI Automation using Java and Selenium.
    • Experience in API Automation using Rest Assured or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Preferred:

    • Knowledge of additional automation tools and frameworks.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute UI and API automation test scripts.
  • Conduct thorough functional testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Operate and adapt within a CI/CD enabled environment, ensuring seamless integration of testing processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on testing outcomes to improve software quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA processes.

  • Programming Languages:

    • Essential: Java for automation scripting.

    • Essential: Selenium for UI automation.

Experience Requirements

  • Total experience of 6-8 years in software testing roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Wealth Management or Investment Banking domain.

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API functionalities.

  • Ensure adherence to testing timelines and deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in QA methodologies and automation tools are desirable.
