As a Lab Engineer at Enphase Energy, you will be responsible for managing the Electrical design lab support function. Your role involves enabling quick prototyping and PCBA reworks for Engineering teams, facilitating product and compliance testing, maintaining a well-organized lab, managing lab equipment procurement, and ensuring proper wiring and electrical supply systems. You will also manage component stock, material tracking, and oversee capital equipment inventory and calibrations. Additionally, you will assist Engineers with setting up electrical and thermal tests, ensuring a clean lab environment, and assembling/disassembling power electronics products and other electrical systems.
Must have:
Basic understanding of Electronics circuits
Knowledge of reading schematics and reworks
Experience in troubleshooting & testing Electronics Products
Experience with power measuring and knowledge of handling Measuring Scopes
Expertise in soldering and de-soldering
Knowledge on PCBA's Handling guidelines
Knowledge on passive component packages
Managing lab activities, component stock, material tracking and management
Managing capital equipment in lab and taking ownership of its inventory and annual calibrations
Help Engineers to set up for Electrical and Thermal tests
Keep the lab environment clean and keep all lab equipment's in organized manner
Assemble and disassemble power electronics products or another electrical system
Cable harness and crimping the wires for power electronics products
Good to have:
IPC process certified in PCB soldering
Knowledge on transformer and inductor winding

What you will be doing
Own and manage Electrical design lab support function.
Enable Engineering teams to get quick prototypes and PCBA reworks and thus let them achieve their goals.
Enable product and compliance testing.
Maintain 5S and orderly lab.
Work with vendors to manage procurement of lab equipment, consumables and other lab services.
Plan, execute and maintain lab wiring and other electrical supply system.
Maintain components stock, material tracking and management.
Who you are and what you bring
Basic Understanding of Electronics circuits (SCH and PCB’s).
Knowledge to read schematics and do necessary reworks as instructed by Engineers.
Experience in trouble shooting & testing of Electronics Products.
Experience with standard power measuring and knowledge in handling Measuring Scopes.
Expertise in soldering and de soldering on various electronic components (from small package to complex package footprints) for SMD and PTH components.
Should have Knowledge on PCBA’s Handling guidelines.
Should have knowledge on passive component packages for both SMD and PTH components
IPC process certified in PCB soldering will be an advantage.
Knowledge on transformer and inductor winding will be an advantage.
Managing lab activities, like component stock, material tracking and management.
Manage capital equipment in lab and take ownership of its inventory and annual calibrations.
Help Engineers to set up for Electrical and Thermal tests
Should be able keep the lab environment clean and take ownership for keeping all lab equipment’s in organized manner.
Should be able to do assemble and disassemble the power electronics products or another electrical system.
Should be able to do cable harness and crimping the wires for power electronics products and DVT test racks or any other electrical systems.
Should be able to operate the mechanical tools likes (torque driver, PCBA’s mechanical assemblies)
Qualification and Previous Experience
Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and 8+ years’ experience
