About the role:
Be responsible for Hardware lab where different set of test setups are available always thereby assuring Enphase SW has sufficient test setup for their development and testing needs.
Enable Enphase to succeed in market by building the hardware lab with new components developed by Enphase and making sure the existing test set up is up and running always.
What you will do:
- Perform Day-to-day managing, prioritizing, and maintaining of the engineering labs
- Perform lab tools and equipment inventory control, asset management, PO management, invoice payment and delivery management
- Perform equipment hardware installation and calibration, software licensing and renewal management (examples of equipment include power analysers, scopes, AC and DC power sources, AC and DC electronic loads, serial communication devices, electric panels, breakers, relays… etc)
- Drive lab space safety, regulatory and security processes compliance
- Design and assemble any needed test fixtures, wire harnesses, including but not limited to simple PCBA design and assembly
- Experience prioritizing and accommodating lab/equipment needs from various engineering teams
- Experience with lab PO process: from quotation, purchase, payment to delivery
- Knowledge in the assembly of electro-mechanical systems
- Experience understanding electrical and mechanical drawings
- Creative problem solving, experience figuring out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and professionally
- Familiarity with typical shop/lab tools, and the skill to build things using such tools
- Hands-on experience with electrical hardware teardown, solder and rework
- Familiarity with 120V/240V AC systems
Who you are and what you bring:
- Diploma in electrical/electronics engineering or a similar field, with 5+ years of experience in a related field,
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, with little direction
- Should be able to debug the system with limited support
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge with Linux machines
- Computer literacy, including MS tools
- Experience with Linux commands and troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of energy storage, microgrid and renewable energy systems
- Experience with Python or similar programming languages
- Experience with IoT based systems is desirable
