Lead VFX Artist

Position Overview

The Lead VFX Artist will be responsible for leading a team of artists in the creation of high-quality visual effects for our projects. This role requires strong technical skills, creative vision, and the ability to effectively manage and coordinate a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of VFX artists in the creation of visual effects for our projects
• Collaborate with other departments such as Art, Design, and Engineering to ensure the integration of VFX into the game
• Create and implement VFX assets using Maya and scripting languages
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in order to achieve the desired visual effects
• Develop and maintain VFX pipeline and workflows to ensure efficient production processes
• Review and provide feedback on VFX work from team members to maintain quality standards
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques to continuously enhance VFX quality and processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Art, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in VFX production
• Strong proficiency in Maya and scripting languages such as Python or MEL
• Experience as a Lead or Senior VFX Artist, with proven ability to manage and mentor a team
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines and processes
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Passion for video games and knowledge of current industry trends and techniques
