Leader, Software Engineer - Networking Fabric
As the leader, manager of this organization, you will be responsible for building a strong technical team of Software Engineers that understand Networking Protocols in the OSI stack, and can develop the next generation software that will power Networking Fabric for Enterprises and Large Scale Networks. You will be working closely with the founders, customers and key distinguished engineers to build the team, business and architecture. This is a unique opportunity to help develop the next generation platforms with our customers.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, Hire, Develop and Manage our top talent and engineering minds.
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
- Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. Master's Degree or focus on IP Networking Software Engineering would be a plus.
- Knowledge of control & data plane technologies including L2, L3, VXLAN, segment Routing and/or MPLS
- Exposure to network operating systems, next generation software development tools, enabling those tools with team members, leading to higher productivity
- 10 years of experience with Networking IP architecture, routing protocols, control, data, management planes and validation, including embedded silicon software, system definition and implementation.
- 8 years of experience in people management developing employees.
- Experience with Software Engineering delivery including program management, customer communication, internal communications and overall architecture discussions with clients.
Compensation
This role is for a very unique individual that will build one of our top engineering talents. Our CEO & Founders will be working closely with the leader and will accordingly craft the compensations structure for the individual with equity as part of the total compensation.
Location / Work Flexibility
The leader will have some international travel, can be based out of Bangalore or Pune in India, will have some work flexibility once the team is built.
