Job Description

The Community & Content Manager will lead and execute community engagement strategies for a 4X strategy SLG mobile game, primarily focusing on the Korea market. This role requires a passionate individual skilled in community management and content creation to drive community growth, engagement, and loyalty through strategic content creation. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of mobile gaming culture within the Korean market. Responsibilities include community strategy and execution, content creation and management, community engagement and outreach, monitoring and reporting, and content quality assurance.

  • 5+ years of community management experience in mobile gaming.
  • Excellent Korean and English communication skills, written and verbal.

What We Need

2K is looking for an experienced Community & Content Manager to lead and execute community engagement strategies for our upcoming 4X strategy SLG mobile game, with a primary focus on the Korea market. This role requires someone who is passionate about mobile gaming, highly skilled in community management, and adept at content creation. You’ll be responsible for driving the community’s growth, engagement, and loyalty by creating strategic content and maintaining strong relationships with influencers, advocates, and fans in Korea. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mobile gaming culture and trends, particularly within the Korean market.

What You’ll Do

Community Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive community management strategies to cultivate, grow, and sustain an engaged player base for our mobile titles, particularly within the Korean market.
  • Partner closely with the mobile operations, marketing, and product teams to align community strategies with broader game objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with players by actively engaging in conversations on social media platforms (e.g., Naver, Kakao, Instagram, Twitter) and dedicated community channels (e.g., Discord, official forums).
  • Serve as the voice of the community, ensuring player feedback is communicated internally to guide future product and content decisions.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Plan, produce, and manage a wide variety of content including social media posts, videos, written content, and live streams to drive engagement and keep the community informed and excited.
  • Collaborate with the localization, marketing, and creative teams to produce culturally relevant and impactful content that resonates with the Korean gaming audience.
  • Create compelling in-game and promotional content to keep the community engaged, highlight new features, and promote live events.
  • Curate and amplify user-generated content, such as fan art, player stories, and in-game achievements, to foster a sense of community ownership and loyalty.

Community Engagement & Outreach:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key community influencers, streamers, and media partners, ensuring they are well-equipped to promote the game and create organic content.
  • Engage with community members through online channels and live-streaming platforms to keep the community active and excited about ongoing and upcoming game events.
  • Track and respond to community sentiment, gathering actionable insights and feedback to improve community experiences and ensure player satisfaction.
  • Manage community-driven events, including in-game challenges, competitions, and live streams, to encourage participation and strengthen community bonds.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze community discussions, player feedback, and social media sentiment, providing regular reports to the development and marketing teams to inform future strategies and content decisions.
  • Use data-driven insights to adjust community management approaches, optimize engagement, and ensure the success of content and promotional initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to community growth, engagement, and loyalty, ensuring that community efforts align with the game’s overall success metrics.

Content Quality Assurance:

  • Manage external content creators, agencies, and vendors to ensure that all community content meets high standards of quality and consistency across all channels.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of content that supports the game’s operations, marketing campaigns, and live events, ensuring timely execution and localization to fit the Korean market.
  • Ensure content reflects the game’s vision, brand identity, and cultural relevance, aligning with the preferences and expectations of Korean gamers.

What Will Make You A Great Fit

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community management or content creation within the mobile gaming industry, with a strong preference for experience in Free-to-Play (F2P) games.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing community-focused marketing campaigns that foster player loyalty and engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English, with a portfolio of published work across various mediums (social media posts, blog articles, press releases, etc.).
  • Strong familiarity with major social media platforms (Naver, Kakao, Instagram, Twitter) and community management tools.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passion for mobile gaming and a deep understanding of the Free-to-Play model and its community dynamics.
