At PwC, our Sustainability or ESG programmes include our Community investment, net zero commitment and Inclusion and Diversity programmes. Through Sustainability Managed Services we leverage our experience to help organisations start, deliver, or scale up their Sustainability programmes. 

As Manager in Sustainability Managed Services, you will lead and manage projects for clients through their full lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and acceptance, and be responsible for their successful completion and programme reporting. You’ll be primarily managing client projects on community investment, environment and diversity. You will also need to work closely across the firm, leveraging (learning from and contributing to) experts across energy transition, climate change, nature, human rights and inclusion & diversity. 

Skills needed for this role:

Project Management

  • Manage a range of projects related to community investment, environment, and diversity.

  • Review and maintain project documentation produced by the team,  in line with project processes.

  • Provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders and program managers.

  • Provide and negotiate project and resource plans to support program planning.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders and external providers.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the business, team managers and project teams to ensure ongoing commitment, collaboration, and coordination of resources.

  • Manage the customer relationship during project delivery and up to the final handover.

Reporting and Evaluation

  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.

  • Provide reporting on outcomes and impact for internal and external stakeholders.

Risk Management and Problem Solving

  • Responsible for ensuring that risks, issues, and changes are identified and managed effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated commitment to quality client service.

Continuous Improvement

  • Inspire and contribute to continual improvement in project and program processes.

  • Share knowledge and experience with peers and team as continuous feedback and to support project improvements.

  • Demonstrate agility to learn and apply new concepts to work.

  • The candidate should have excellent client-facing capabilities and an established track record for delivering Sustainability/ ESG programmes.

  • Able to manage project financials.

  • Energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial attitude.

  • Flexible and agile in learning new skills e.g. will need to learn about Net Zero, sustainability, nature, wellbeing, Inclusion issues and apply knowledge to work.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of Sustainability, ESG or Corporate Responsibility experience, including stakeholder management, project management, assessments and reporting. 

  • Have working knowledge of international sustainability standards and best practices (like GRI Standards, UNGC, SDGs, UNGPs, SASB, TCFD, IIRC, etc.)

  • Experience in developing and implementing programmes in Sustainability & responsible business areas.

  • Sound understanding of corporate sustainability across various industry sectors.

  • Collaborated with multiple nonprofit organisations and social enterprises in Sustainability and ESG areas. 

  • High proficiency in using spreadsheets and slides. 

  • Able to analyse data and provide recommendations or interventions. 

  • Plus : Proficiency with data analysis and visualisation tools.

  • Plus : Programme / project management certification.
