VALORANT, the world’s most popular tactical shooter, is looking for someone to lead a team responsible for building features that lets players showcase their accomplishments and what sets them apart from their friends and rivals. As the Software Engineering Manager of the Competitive Identity team, you will work closely with world class designers, producers, and engineers to drive the direction of our players core identity experience. Your team will build systems that allow players to represent their competitive achievement, to tell stories about how they compete, and to explore new ways to develop their skill.
At Riot, engineering managers gain organizational alignment by building a strong engineering vision and offering creative solutions to organizational design. We also serve as mentors for engineers, guiding their performance and finding them growth opportunities by delivering compelling player experiences. This is a new team on VALORANT and this role will require hiring key engineering positions.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children, and a 401k with company match. Check out our benefits pages for more information.
