This open position is with Simpleview, now a part of Granicus. The Marketing Automation Specialist is a client facing position responsible for the activation, setup, training, support and success of clients with our partner product: Act-On. The position reports to the Lead Marketing Automation Specialist and must exercise in-depth knowledge of marketing automation, email marketing, deliverability, lists (database management), building templates, deploying email marketing campaigns, and project management. 

What Your Impact Will Look Like Here

    • Manages the entire process of onboarding, setting up and training a new client on the Act-On platform. 
    • Facilitates training for clients on advanced segmentation,  building and sending emails/test emails, campaign performance, advanced functions such as lead/behavioral scoring, forms, landing pages, A/B testing, and automated programs (IE: welcome automation/drip campaign, re-engagement campaign) 
    • Works with clients to understand their email marketing and automation goals/defined KPIs and provide recommendations to ensure continued client success.
    • Imports and manage list uploads from all efforts to maintain strict data hygiene requirements.
    • Collaborates and shares knowledge with colleagues on Act-On best practices.
    • Builds email templates within the Act-On platform based on client requirements.
    • Troubleshoots technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, deliverability and other aspects of email, as required.
    • Accountable for responding to client support tickets and adhering to department SLAs.
    • Stays abreast of email marketing and automation best practices with coding, design and testing of email campaigns, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies and industry standards.
    • Collects and provides client feedback relating to product integrations, processes and usage to management.

You will love this job if you have

    • Experience with marketing automation and/or email marketing is required.
    • Minimum one year of experience in a marketing automation/email marketing role, preferably in a software/tech environment.
    • Minimum one year of experience in a customer service or training role, preferably in a software/tech environment.
    • Solid understanding of email marketing/marketing automation systems and training others on the system(s).
    • Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation
    • Skilled at training on complex subjects
    • Strong problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
    • Highly organized and self-motivated.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Marketing Cloud
    • Understanding of HTML and CSS 
    • Experience using email delivery tools (Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.)
    • Strong tourism & travel industry knowledge
    • Prior experience with Act-On
    • Previous CRM experience
