Job Description

WildBrain Studios is looking for a Pipeline TD-Flow to join their team. The Pipeline TD will be responsible for developing and advancing software, tools, and processes in collaboration with production to bring pipelines and projects to the next level, specifically focusing on Flow (formerly Shotgrid/Shotgun) development. This role is based in British Columbia. Responsibilities include developing tools, deploying code using Git, supporting production issues, documenting processes, and collaborating on departmental initiatives. The company produces animation content and offers a culture that values employee well-being. Must have:
  • Tool development to meet production needs.
  • Test and release code using git.

  • BS+ in Computer Science or industry equivalent.
  • Production experience developing for Flow Production Tracking.
  • Experience developing and delivering software in a professional environment.
  • Experience with Python, C++, or other object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with Git or other revision control system.
  • Experience with databases.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux.
Good to have:
  • Experience developing for Animation or creative industries, and their DCC applications & APIs.
  • Knowledge of networking and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology (scrum).

Overview

WildBrain Studios is looking for a Pipeline TD-Flow to join our team!    


Our Pipeline TDs are responsible for developing and advancing our software, tools and processes in collaboration with production to bring our pipelines and projects to the next level and we are looking for someone to bring their Flow (formerly Shotgrid/Shotgun) development skills and collaborate with Production to advance Flow.

This opportunity is required to be located within BC and is a permanent role.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do:

  • Tool Development:  Design and develop core pipeline tools and processes to meet production needs 
  • Deployment:  Test and release code to production by using git and our build systems 
  • Support:  Triage production issues; identify, reproduce and resolve bugs / workflow errors 
  • Document: Create, update and maintain documentation explaining our processes and tools 
  • Collaborate:  Actively participate in departmental initiatives by offering thoughts and ideas 

What You'll Bring:

  • BS+ in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Production experience developing for Flow Production Tracking (formerly Shotgrid/Shotgun)
  • Experience developing and delivering software in a professional environment
  • Experience with Python, C++, or other object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with Git or other revision control system
  • Experience with databases
  • Experience with Windows and Linux

Nice to Have:

Pay Range: $77,000-$117,000CAD per year

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
