Behaviour is looking for a level designer to actively participate in the development of a new AAA IP. In this role, you will use your creative and technical skills, in collaboration with members of other disciplines, to shape the mission’s flow and moment-to-moment experience on this cutting-edge product attached to an exciting brand, in development with a renown external partner.

In this role you will:

    • Design and own missions from the initial paper design to a shippable state, passing by the design of new gameplay ingredients, encounters intentions and in-engine implementation; 
    • Trough feedback and playtest, iterate upon the mission's design, and ensure that the desired player’s experience is met; 
    • Create the logic flow of missions through visual scripting and manage the associated data;
    • See through the evolution of your mission as they pass through each step of conception, and ensure that the design intentions are respected towards final delivery;  
    • Establish and actively improve the design conventions for mission goals, actions, pacing, etc.; 
    • Support and review the work of more juniors' teammates; 
    • Provide time estimates and reprioritize goals as necessary; 
    • Create and present detailed design documents and associated requests, as necessary; 
    • Collaborate and follow up daily with other departments.

What we're looking for:

    • 10+ years of game industry experience as a level/mission designer, especially on AAA titles; 
    • Strong understanding of mission flow and pacing;  
    • Previous experience in mission design on AAA project; 
    • Experience with visual scripting and sequencing tools (Blueprint, Flowgraph); 
    • Proficient with Unreal Engine and related tools; 
    • Ability and willingness to adapt to constant changes; 
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal in French and/or in English.
