We are looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to revolutionize messaging, positioning, asset creation and enablement across Pattern’s multi-product business model that enables brands to accelerate their ecommerce growth across the globe. Pattern PXM is an AI-enabled software-as-a-service product within Pattern's ecommerce acceleration platform that allows brands to seamlessly organize, manage, and syndicate all of their product information and content. Pattern PXM has multiple product launches scoped over the next 12 months which will expand our TAM and persona targeting. Our launches will also impact other business lines and you will collaborate closely with other business lines to incorporate your launches and messaging. The scoped launches will include tier 1 launches and will have strong visibility with our C-suite and CEO. 

This person will play a crucial role in translating customer and market insights to better understand our customer segments, resolve pain points, and identify market and product opportunities. This person will work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales and  Brand Management teams to bring products and features to market. The ideal person is a strategic customer advocate who values improving customer experiences and enjoys working with diverse partners to execute complex projects. This is a full-time role in the Corporate Marketing organization, reporting to the Head of Product Marketing in our Lehi, UT office.

What is a day in the life of a Principal Product Marketing Manager

  • Own and lead Pattern’s Product Marketing strategy across PXM.

  • Drive the creation and execution of product GTM strategy and tactics in partnership with product management, sales leadership, demand generation and other marketing teams.

  • Synthesizing market, competitive, analyst and customer insights to help guide product strategy and development, messaging and sales motion that show how Pattern’s people, tech and partners uniquely solve pain points across the ecommerce equation.

  • Develop and refine differentiated product messaging and collaborate with the broader marketing team to implement across channels. Collaborate with Product and Brand teams to translate technical details and workflows into benefits for our buyer personas.

  • Establish deeply collaborative cross-functional partnerships with leaders and colleagues across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to enable the team and drive a consistent customer experience.

  • Create engaging and differentiated top of funnel, middle of funnel and bottom of funnel content, such as blog posts, eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, demo videos and more.

  • Build enablement assets and deliver training to help sales, BDRs, and customer success understand buyer personas, pain points, key product capabilities and benefits.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of directly-relevant work experience. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication and story-telling skills utilized with both customers and internal stakeholders.

  • A knack for navigating ambiguity and complex business models.

  • You’re a builder and enjoy creating strategy, programs and processes from scratch. 

  • You use data as much as possible to inform your decisions and when it’s not available you brainstorm how you can collect data in the future to support insight generation.

  • You are a master at prioritization and know when to say yes to game changing ideas versus pushing back in a respectable manner.

  • You roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

  • Ecommerce experience is preferred, but not required

What is my potential for career growth?

You will own the product marketing strategy for PXM. This includes strategy, process, and execution among all facets of product marketing. You will be building from the ground up and will need to determine what to prioritize and communicate your priorities across the organization. Success in this role can lead to expanded scoped projects, owning tier 1 product launches and/or rotations in other cross functional organizations including product, sales, marketing or customer success. 

What is the team like?

Product Marketing sits within the Corporate Marketing organization and consists of seasoned marketers across all major marketing functions. You will sit on the Product Marketing team and interface with Sales, Enablement, Product, Marketing and Customer Success on a daily basis. In the office you will sit next to the Marketing organization which includes Growth Marketing, Communications, Content Marketing, and Events. The team follows a hybrid work schedule with Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office and Tuesday and Friday from home.
