Job Description

Are you motivated by the challenge of leading large-scale industrial projects across borders? Do you thrive in a global environment, working with international teams and clients? At Ramboll, we offer a unique opportunity to take on complex industrial engineering projects with both local and international impact. With exciting challenges, a strong technical community, and opportunities for global collaboration, this role is perfect for a project manager with an international mindset and experience in industrial projects.

Your new role

The Industrial Engineering department is newly established to meet the needs of our industrial clients, both in Denmark and internationally. Our team consists of specialists in industrial cooling, heat pumps, utility systems, process layout, and more—working closely with experienced project managers to ensure seamless execution. Together, we drive projects for some of the largest industrial clients in multiple countries, collaborating across disciplines and geographies.

As a Project Manager in Industrial Engineering, you will take the lead in managing and delivering complex industrial projects—often with international stakeholders. This role requires a commercial mindset, strategic thinking, hands-on project execution, and a strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and global stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage industrial engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Oversee process design and technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams across locations.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to drive successful project execution in different regulatory environments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of our industrial engineering department on a global scale.

About you

We are looking for a driven and internationally minded project manager with a strong background in industrial engineering and process design. If you enjoy working across cultures, building long-term partnerships based on trust and technical expertise, this role is for you.

In addition, we believe the following will help you succeed in the role:

  • A degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or another technical field.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale industrial projects, preferably in an international context.
  • Strong understanding of process design, production systems, and industrial facility development.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working across different countries and cultures.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (additional language skills are a plus).
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients.

What we can offer you

  • Opportunities to lead and shape industrial projects with international reach.
  • A dynamic work environment that fosters professional growth and global collaboration.
  • Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles, fostering an inclusive and empowering culture.
  • A strong technical community with knowledge-sharing across borders.
  • Flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance.
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company.
  • The ability to influence the direction and impact of our Industrial Engineering department.
