Job Description

The Proposition Sales Specialist, Trading will be responsible for driving sales growth in collaboration with account management and utilizing specialist knowledge to deliver gross sales. This involves opening new business within existing accounts and new customers. The specialist will also prospect for new leads, nurture potential customers, and build strong client relationships to drive sales. The role requires expertise in the technical discipline, understanding of other roles within the function and the ability to provide subject matter expertise across sub-units, leading to the advancement of opportunities through sales stages. The specialist will also handle administrative tasks, manage proposals, benchmark calculators, and Salesforce-related tasks efficiently.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales in collaboration with account management and utilize specialist knowledge to deliver gross sales.
  • Focus on opening up new business within existing accounts and new customers.
  • Assist in key retention situations as required.
  • Prospecting: Conduct high-efficiency prospecting; collaborate with account management, and other colleagues to ensure constant coverage of expansion opportunities.
  • Lead Generation for the Wider Team: Identify potential leads, qualify them, and develop outreach campaigns. Ensure the wider team is involved in lead generation efforts.
  • Lead Nurturing: Implement strategies to build relationships with potential customers and guide them through the sales funnel.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on lead generation performance metrics.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate lead information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align lead generation efforts.
  • Existing Accounts: Build deep client relationships to drive sales in target areas.
  • New Business Acquisition: Seek new business through new account acquisition and penetration of new buyer hubs.
  • Customer Confidence: Inspire confidence in customers through domain expertise.
  • Value-Add Connections: Build connections within the client organization to unlock opportunities.
  • Solution Selling: Think through customer workflows for solutions selling.
  • Sales Stages: Advance opportunities through sales stages; exceed close rate expectations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage proposals, benchmark calculators, and Salesforce-related tasks efficiently.

Knowledge & Skill:

  • Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of technical discipline.
  • Provides subject matter expertise across sub-units.
  • Strong understanding of other roles within the function or Business Unit.
  • Knowledge of relationships between relevant groups within the company.
  • Adapts traditional approaches to solutions.
  • Demonstrates mastery of a specific discipline.
