This is what you can expect from us
As a "Salesforce Application Consultant" you will be the driver for the design and implementation of complex Salesforce applications based on the Sales & Service and Community Cloud and support our business departments at Telekom Deutschland and T-Systems in challenging implementation projects. In a team of Salesforce developers and consultants you will be the central contact for all business demands. Your main tasks will be to specify requirements and come up with the design then implement them as close to the Salesforce Standard as possible. You will either be working for projects using either agile or waterfall-like development approaches.
In detail, your area of responsibility includes:
Responsible participation in implementation projects during the entire system lifecycle with partial responsibility for single or several modules in conception and design
Analyze and structure customer's requirements and as-is processes to understand the gaps to the standard use cases and features of the Salesforce Sales & Service and / or Community Cloud
Consult and advise the customer on the optimal mapping of his functional requirements and processes to Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality and use cases and discover existing gaps
Understand and specify data flow and data exchange processes needed to integrate Salesforce with other applications and into the existing application landscape
Support the business in prioritizing functional and technical requirements
Design solutions to close existing gaps in Salesforce standard software that adhere to the Salesforce Standard as close as possible
Document requirements and design in the form of epics and user stories or specifications as a basis for the implementation work
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the business in the context of the implementation of the customer-specific solution
Participate in the fulfillment of customer’s requirements by customizing the Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud and Community Cloud using configuration and declarative development
Collaborate with the Salesforce Developers in the implementation of requirements that need to be done by coding and provide the necessary functional and technical input
Create test concepts and overarching test cases and execute manual or automated tests to verify the functional aspects of the solution during the test phases
What we expect from you
You have a degree in informatics, economics, computer science or a comparable qualification and have more than 6 years of work experience as Application Consultant or comparable job. You have extensive knowledge of the Salesforce Platform, i.e. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud and / or Marketing Cloud.
In detail, you will convince us with the following experience and skills:
Practical experience as Salesforce Application Consultant in the implementation of the Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, Community Cloud and / or Marketing Cloud project for at least 4 years
Excellent knowledge of Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, Community Cloud and / or Marketing Cloud with regards to features, functionality, use cases and processes and the strong ability to incorporate this into the design of the customer solution and advise colleagues and customer
Proven track record in consulting, requirement engineering, specification and design of modern IT architectures as well as extensive knowledge of software development processes
Good working knowledge in customizing Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, Community Cloud and / or Marketing Cloud with configuration and declarative development
Expert know-how in detailing epics and user stories and / or writing design specification as a basis for the implementation
Solid understanding of common enterprise architecture and architecture management approaches such as SOA, OOO/D, Domain Driven Design, Model Driven Architecture
Top knowledge and willingness in the use of modern, agile methods such as SCRUM, or the Design Thinking approach
Substantial knowledge of the telecommunications industry, especially customer-facing processes
Relevant certifications such as Salesforce Certified Consultant are a plus
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English (min. C1)
