Job Description

The Security Specialist - Security Operations role at Disney involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop security solutions, troubleshooting platform and AWS issues, reviewing code changes, creating dashboards and playbooks, and automating processes. Responsibilities include ensuring solutions meet team standards, assisting colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, experience with XSOAR or similar tools, and a deep understanding of network and IT security components, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and more.

Team Description:

We Are Hiring! We need a Security Specialist - Security Operations to join us. The Security Operations Team is a group of highly skilled engineers and analysts with the goal of providing tools and services that secure the environment.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions to suit their needs

  • Troubleshoot issues with the platform and its content

  • Troubleshoot AWS issues

  • Review changes to assure they meet team standards

  • Create dashboards to showcase relevant statistics

  • Create reusable playbooks and automations

  • Assist other team members with solving problems and developing solutions

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a Security Engineer or Architect.

  • Experience with XSOAR or similar automation product.

  • Experience working with API’s

  • Working knowledge of network and IT security components, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware software, data encryption, VPN's, vulnerability scanners, server operating systems, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.

  • Knowledge of common web and mobile application vulnerabilities, such as the OWASP Top 10 for web and mobile, and ability to provide solutions

  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop creative alternatives, as well as continuous process improvement skills.

  • Demonstrated professional written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.

  • Understanding of project management principles.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-performance team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this remote position is $90,800-$140,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
