We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in business development, with expertise in the offshore and onshore wind industries, and some familiarity with the oil & gas and maritime sectors. A proven ability to build and maintain global client relationships, particularly through solution and relationship selling, as well as experience with structuring license and management agreements, is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Engagement: Identify, engage, and build long-term relationships with potential and existing clients within the oil & gas, maritime, and wind industries on a global scale.

  • Consultative Selling: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and business goals, offering tailored consultancy solutions that address their specific needs.

  • Partnership Development: Develop, negotiate, and manage license and management agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that drive both client and organizational success.

  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

  • Independent Portfolio Management: Operate as an independent contributor, managing your client portfolio, driving results, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

  • Proposal & Bid Management: Lead or contribute to the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and RFIs/RFPs, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services and alignment with client expectations.

  • Performance Reporting: Regularly track and report key performance metrics (e.g., sales targets, client satisfaction) and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.

  • Travel: Be willing to travel nationally and internationally, spending 40-60 days per year meeting with clients, attending industry events, and fostering relationships.

We are looking for:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Experience: A proven track record of 6-10 years in sales and business development, preferably within the offshore and onshore wind industry, maritime, or oil & gas sectors.

  • Agreement Negotiation: Experience in structuring and negotiating license and management agreements.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and key players within relevant sectors.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at various levels.

  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently, managing your own portfolio while consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively, including international trips as required.

This position is remote with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast of the United States.
