Job Description
Google is seeking a Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer to contribute to the design and verification of future CPU developments. Responsibilities include building functional verification infrastructure (unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem levels), producing diagnostic code for quality CPU production, and verifying/validating performance (pre-silicon and post-silicon). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in functional verification, performance validation, test plan development, and diagnostic code creation for modern processors, along with processor microarchitecture expertise. Experience with UVM, SystemVerilog, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash) is preferred, as is familiarity with ARM ISA and operating systems like Linux and Android.
Must have:
- 5+ years experience in functional verification
- Processor microarchitecture expertise
- Test plan development and diagnostic code creation
- Design verification for future CPUs
- Build functional verification infrastructure
Good to have:
- Master's degree in EE or CS
- UVM, SystemVerilog, Python, Perl, Shell, Bash
- ARM ISA knowledge
- Linux and Android OS knowledge

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in functional verification, performance validation, developing test plans, and diagnostic codes of modern processors.
- Experience with processor microarchitecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with UVM, SystemVerilog, or other scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, etc.
- Experience with Universal Verification Methodology, SystemVerilog, or other scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, etc.
- Experience with Advanced RISC Machine (ARM) Instruction Set Architecture.
- Knowledge of general purpose operating systems such as Linux and Android.
