The Position:

We are starting a new team within the Data & Analytics (DNA) organization - the Analytics Hub. The team mission is to deliver extensible models and frameworks, enabling faster & deeper analytics across the company. Together with the Data Engineering and Embedded Analytics teams, DNA’s overall mission is to empower everyone at GameChanger to drive meaningful outcomes using data.

As the Analytics Hub Data Scientist, your work complements the team-specific work done by embedded data folks. You’ll collaborate closely with embedded analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to understand and convert our longstanding bigger business questions into clear problem statements and projects. Once defined, you’ll explore, transform, model and analyze data to understand underlying dynamics and drivers and translate those into actionable and impactful recommendations for stakeholders to readily execute on. You’ll work end-to-end, applying what you’re building to solve for specific use cases & educating others on how to apply it for their own needs.

We are seeking a self-directed individual who is curious and proactive, can work both collaboratively or independently as needed, and has a proven record of providing data-driven insights with demonstrated high business impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to define and break down complex problems into a viable project plan with appropriate metrics and deliverables.

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform strategic decisions.

  • Identify and quantify causal relationships to better understand the levers available for driving specific business outcomes.

  • Develop metrics for monitoring & models for improving user adoption, product functionality, and drive business growth.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through data visualizations, written reports, and presentations.

  • Contribute to roadmaps & be able to articulate and advocate for initiatives based on business needs and priorities.

  • Promote responsible data practices & enhance data literacy across GameChanger.

  • Some examples of projects you’ll work on: identify underlying patterns and behavioral drivers in how our customers interact with our platform and product features; build and enhance predictive models around retention, churn, lifetime value for all users; create new curated feature sets that enable deeper analytics capabilities across the company.

Who You Are:

  • Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders within Product, Business, and Engineering teams to tackle unstructured and ambiguous business problems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Creative and critical thinker; able to come up with novel solutions to new problems.

  • 2+ years of experience working directly on building algorithms and making algorithmic recommendations for business optimization.

  • 2+ years of experience working directly on A/B testing, including experiment design, deployment, and results interpretation.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R (Python preferred).

  • Familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

  • Familiarity with at least one visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Hex, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.

  • Experience with dbt preferred.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

The target salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $190,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.

Compensation Range: $160K - $190K
