About the Role:

We seek a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Development and Infrastructure Teams responsible for the day-to-day implementation and operations of CI/CD Pipelines and associated deployment technologies of SS&C Systems.

Your Responsibilities:

• Working with Infrastructure, Engineering Teams & Management to devise, refine and implement the DevOps strategy for Digital
• Acting as a servant leader for engineering teams; helping teams to become more experienced in DevOps practices but also undertaking work on the behalf when needed.
• Experience of configuring API Gateways, deploying these in a cloud environment, collecting metrics from Gateways, securing Gateways and publish APIs to Gateways from pipelines
• Building new and maintaining current pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Building Kubernetes clusters in one or more Cloud environments
• Configuring monitoring and altering
• Configuring security and static code analysis tools, management reporting tools, monitoring and altering tools etc so teams and management can track key performance indicators for code quality, build activity etc.
• Documenting pipelines and configuration; ensuring that DevOps is never a single point of failure.
• Applying a pragmatic approach to undertakings
• Being an expert in nominated fields of technical specialization
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Your Experience:

• Essential: At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps and demonstrable experience in a professional software engineering role
• Kubernetes, Containers, Docker, ArgoCD
• Terraform (or similar), at least one of GitHub Actions, BitBucket or Git Lab pipelines, Shell Scripting, Jenkins (or similar)
• Working knowledge of networking, and Linux system administration (any distro).   Windows admin knowledge is a bonus.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with automated deployments of software via VMs and Containers.
• Experience in software engineering, ideally  Java, JavaScript, or .net framework
• Desirable: Gateways (e.g. Kong, AWS, Six), RabbitMQ, Kafka, Minio.
• Mentoring and knowledge sharing with less knowledgeable colleagues.
• Communication skills; comfortable explaining technical matters to engineering teams and senior management.
• Worked in a fast-paced environment.
