Job Description

The Senior/Lead BI Developer will be part of a Centralized Reporting and Analytics team, building Tableau and PowerBI reports and data analysis for Luxoft's internal processes. Responsibilities include full-cycle BI solution development, from requirement clarification with clients to UAT and release preparation. This role requires strong SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI skills, as well as excellent data analysis and presentation abilities. The team is distributed globally, requiring strong virtual collaboration skills. The role involves managing data sources, developing dashboards with interactive elements, controlling permissions, monitoring background tasks, and monitoring Tableau adoption. Experience with data warehousing (DWH) is beneficial.

Must have:

3-4 years Tableau Server/Online experience
Strong SQL skills
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Strong data analysis skills
Good presentation & visualization skills

Good to have:

Project description

About the Project: Centralized Reporting and Analytics team covers company-wide corporate reporting needs. Interacting with internal clients (Luxoft delivery management and Corporate functions management) we build Tableau and PowerBI reporting and data analysis covering different internal Luxoft processes and practices.
Our team: around 20 people distributed in different countries but in close virtual cooperation via Zoom, Teams and other tools.
Technologies used: Tableau and PowerBI as the main reporting tools, MS SQL database for our main data sources.

Responsibilities

Full cycle BI solution development including customer-facing responsibilities:

Requirement clarification with the client

Preparation of data sources & setting up development task for the DWH team

Draft version design & development and UAT with a customer

Setting up interactive elements in dashboards (actions, parameters-switchers, etc.)

Visibility permissions management (row-level security) inside a report

Technical documentation preparation

Release preparation and presenting for end-users

Controlling permissions on a site

Background tasks monitoring (extracts, subscriptions, etc.)

Tableau adoption & user's behavior monitoring (via in-built and custom tools)

1+ year of reporting experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI

Skills

Must have

3-4 years of Tableau Server/Online reporting experience

Strong skills in SQL

Bachelor's Degree or higher education level

Strong data analysis skills

Good presentation and data visualization skills

Great attention to details, structured and analytical approach, critical and logical thinking

Nice to have

Experience in managing and developing the team

Ability to cover ideas both through text and visual means

Creativity, adaptability, high responsibility, flexibility and fast learning, ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
