We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Public Relations Manager to lead our PR initiatives within the video game industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies, managing high-profile events, and handling crisis communications. This role requires a self-starter who can operate independently, leveraging existing industry contacts while actively cultivating new relationships to enhance our brand presence without significant reliance on external PR agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic PR Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to promote Snail Games' products and brand within the gaming industry, with a focus on in-house execution and measurable outcomes  

• Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the gaming sector to secure positive coverage and enhance brand visibility.

• Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute major events, including game launches, press conferences, and industry trade shows, ensuring seamless delivery and maximum impact.

• Crisis Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for crisis management, developing and executing effective communication strategies to address and mitigate potential PR issues.

• Content Development: Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, speeches, and other PR materials that effectively communicate key messages and align with brand guidelines.

• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and community management, to ensure cohesive messaging and strategic alignment.

• Networking and Relationship Building: Leverage existing industry contacts and proactively establish new relationships to enhance media outreach and brand partnerships, minimizing the need for external PR agencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a significant portion within the video game industry.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing PR strategies that have resulted in measurable brand growth and media coverage.

• Extensive experience in planning and managing large-scale events, with a keen eye for detail and logistics.

• Proven ability to manage crisis communications effectively, with a strategic and calm approach under pressure.

• Strong existing relationships with gaming media and influencers, with the ability to expand this network proactively.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to various audiences.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal reliance on external agencies.

• Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture and industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a global context, with an understanding of international media landscapes and cultural nuances.

• Leverage common PR software tools (e.g., Cision, Prowly, Meltwater, and Google Analytics) to monitor media coverage, track campaign performance, and guide strategic decision-making.  

• Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.

Salary Range - $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
