Overview Of The Role

We are growing our data capability across the organization and need an experienced Quality Engineer to help deliver the new quality and processes across the tribe, while supporting the delivery of our Data and Analytics tribe.

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will help test and develop Integration layer changes to the data and analytics team.

Reporting directly to the Test Manager and working within the data family, you will be responsible for ensuring that the stories are delivered in a quality manner. You will build a quality product within the Data & Analytics tribe. You are joining us at a time of significant change for the Data & Analytics tribe, and we need excellent QA engineers within the team to ensure we deliver the team’s, and the organisation’s ambitions.

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will join one of our small agile teams, consisting of SEIT, DevOps Engineers and Data Engineers. You’ll work closely with the engineers in the team designing, building and maintaining our data and reporting, using industry-leading technologies.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an expert, pragmatic and collaborative Automation Engineer to join our team on the mission to build the best online sports betting product in the world.

Your Experience

• 6 to 10 years of practical experience in functional and automated data testing .
• Should emphasize the “Design thinking” at low level for the system and high-level design for automation framework suites.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks/design patterns from scratch & generating tests suites with integrated pipelines.
• Prior experience with data testing, streaming analytics platform testing, Data Lake testing is desirable.
• Should be able to identify and implement best coding practices, perform code reviews and propagates knowledge.
• Exposure to the concepts of testing in Zero ETL environments would be an added advantage.

• Testing Skills: Database Testing, ETL Testing, Big Data Testing, API validations
• Coding Languages: Any coding language- Java(preferred), SQL
• CI/CD – Jenkins / GitHub Actions
• Source Control System: Git, Bit Bucket
• Test Management Tools: JIRA (preferred), XRAY
• Infrastructure – AWS, Data Bricks
• Stream: AWS Kinesis, Apache Kafka and Amazon MSK
• Direct Query: AWS Athena, S3, Presto
• Storage – S3, DynamoDB, SQL
• Application Monitoring – Prometheus / Alert Manager / Grafana Loki
