Job Description

Google seeks Software Engineers for its Corp Eng team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions critical to Google's needs. Responsibilities include writing code, participating in design reviews, code reviews, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting system issues. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's/PhD preferred) and at least one year of software development experience (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). Experience with accessible technologies is a plus. The role requires versatility, leadership qualities, and the ability to work across the full-stack. The team manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within Google's fast-paced environment.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
1+ year software development experience
Code writing, review, and debugging
Design review participation
Problem-solving and troubleshooting

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS
Experience with accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
