Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience with software development in C or C++ programming.
- Experience with video playback and processing pipelines.
- Experience with debugging and profiling tools (e.g., gdb, perf).
- Experience with operating system internals (e.g., Linux, Android, or ChromeOS).
- Understanding of video codecs, container formats, and media streaming protocols.

- Design, develop, and maintain core components of the video playback and processing stack within ChromeOS or Android OS.
- Optimize video playback performance, focusing on efficiency, latency, and power consumption.
- Implement and integrate video codecs (e.g., AV1, VP9, H.264, HEVC) and related media technologies.
- Debug and resolve complex video playback issues, including crashes, rendering artifacts, and compatibility problems.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to integrate and optimize hardware video acceleration.
