Job Description

As a Sr. Engineer in Test, you will be part of DVT for Firmware and expected to understand EVSE functionality as driven by Firmware development. You will be the voice of the customer, recommending cases to enhance customer experience. You will be responsible for understanding the Firmware design, developing test cases, owning the quality of Firmware, creating DVT plans, preparing test setups, automating test cases, analyzing and debugging bugs, and collaborating with the development team. This role involves working with various stakeholders, including PM, System DVT, and Development teams.

Must have:

5+ years of experience in Firmware verification
Expertise in Requirement analysis and test case development
Expertise in working with Linux based Embedded products
Good understanding of Networking protocols and Security
Experience in CI/CD, Test Management tools
Strong in Python to design automation frameworks
Expertise in debugging the issues
Experience in Agile model testing

Good to have:

Working experience in Energy Management/ EV charging systems
Software Testing certification

About the role  :

As part of DVT for Firmware, it is expected to understand the EVSE functionality as driven by Firmware development. Have an acumen to think through the end to end flow driven by HW capabilities and defined Software and Cloud deliverables. Be the voice of the customer and recommend cases that can enhavce customer experience working closely with stake-holders like PM, System DVT and Development teams.

What you will do  :

Understand the Firmware design for the features developed.
Testcase development for the requirements with better test coverage.
Complete ownership on quality of Firmware under test.
Come up with DVT plan and Test run for the releases.
Prepare Test setup and verify the Firmware and report bugs early to ensure release quality.
Automate Testcases and run automation for validation of Firmware releases.
Analyse and Debug the bugs raised and collaborate with development team on fixing the issues.

What will be looking for:

B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech preferably in Electrical Engineering from reputed colleges.
5+ years of experience in Firmware verification of Embedded Systems/Products.
Strong expertise in Requirement analysis, Test case development and Firmware/Embedded software verification.
Expertise in working with Linux based Embedded products.
Good understanding in Networking protocols, Security.
Experience in CI/CD, Test Management tools.
Strong in Python to design automation framework and automate test cases.
Expertise in debugging the issues.
Experience in Agile model testing.
Proactive and results oriented.
Good Team player and should be able to collaborate with cross functional teams.
Nice to have Software Testing certification.
